Now in its ninth year, our summer training programme has established an impressive reputation as a leader in the field. This time we are offering more course options than ever before. Each course deals with current issues, and is designed to bring together key players from around the world.

At the start of the week we offer three core courses, each giving a topic overview: Understanding forest certification, Responsible purchasing and production of agricultural commodities and Responsible purchasing of forest products. On Thursday and Friday you can choose whether to specialise in the high conservation value (HCV) framework, understanding social issues, forest governance and illegal logging
or forests and climate change.
ProForest is a global leader in the development and use of sustainability standards for natural resources. Our work includes facilitating the development of standards for oil palm (RSPO) and soy (RTRS), advising the UK government on timber procurement (CPET), working with biofuels companies obligated under the UK RTFO and supporting the HCV Resource Network. ProForest staff work with NGOs, private sector companies and governments all over the world and our training draws on this up-to-date and indepth knowledge to provide delegates with an unrivalled opportunity to explore and understand the issues.
