ProForest opened a regional office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in March 2009

The Stepwise Support Programme is a programme jointly managed by ProForest and our Malaysian-based partners Wild Asia. The programme provides support for oil palm producers and the supply chain to prepare for RSPO certification. more>>

In South East Asia ProForest provides assessments and advice on practical implementation of sustainability in the fields of agricultural commodities such as oil palm and also forestry and the timber processing industry. With the new base in Kuala Lumpur, we now are able to provide much more on-site advisory and scheduled training.

With tight links to ProForest Oxford - the South East Asia base also has access to the wealth of expertise of the wider ProForest team covering subjects such as development of sustiainability standards, timber supply chains, European timber trade policies, High Conservation Values, biofuels and sustainable development.

This benefits clients as we have easier access to activities on the ground, which means increased efficiency and cost effectiveness for projects.
