Getting to the ProForest office
The ProForest office is centrally located in a pedestrianised street and is easy to get to by public transportation.
We are a 10-minute walk from the Oxford train station and there are excellent and frequent coach services running from Heathrow and Gatwick airport, as well as London Victoria bus station.
Parking is difficult in the city centre and as we are located in a pedestrianised area, you will not be able to get to us directly by car. Therefore if you are coming by car, we recommend you use the Park & Ride facilities located at several locations around the city.
By foot from the city centre
The ProForest office is located in Frewin Court, which is located in a small alley off Cornmarket Street. As you walk north up Cornmarket Street from the High Street, turn left at the alley immediately after the Gap shop and just before the Lush shop. The alley is immediately facing the Virgin Megastore.
There are several bus routes that come through the High Street from around the city and Oxfordshire. You may wish to check for further information on bus services in Oxford from the Oxford County Council webpage on public transport.
By taxi from within Oxford
If you are hiring a taxi from within Oxford, please ask to be dropped off at the end of St. Michael's Street. From here take a right on Cornmarket Street and walk until you see the Lush Shop on your right. Immediately turn right into the alley. Our office is located in Frewin Chambers further down the alley.
By train
Oxford can easily be reached by direct trains from London Paddington or Birmingham New Street stations. Oxford train station is situated just to the west of the city centre. The ProForest office is a 10-minute walk from the station. To get to us, walk out of the train station and get to the main road (Hythe Bridge Street), walk past the SAID Business School, which should be on your left. Walk straight down Hythe Bridge Street, until you cross a bridge and get to a set of traffic lights. Cross the street and keep walking straight down George Street. Cornmarket Street is located at the end of George Street on the right. Turn into Cornmarket Street and continue walking until you see the Lush soap shop. There is an alley immediately after the shop. Turn in here to your right. ProForest is located towards the end of the alley.
By coach
There are frequent coach services from the centre of London (Victoria station), Heathrow airport and Gatwick airport. All of them terminate at Gloucester Green coach station, which is a five minute walk from our office. The coach station is on George Street.
From London
There are 2 coach services that run frequently from London Victoria Bus Station, the Oxford Tube and the X90 Oxford Espress. Journey time between London and Oxford is about 90 minutes. For more information please go to the Oxford Espress (X90) website or the Oxford Tube website.
From Heathrow & Gatwick airports
The Airline coach services to and from Heathrow take 80 minutes for terminals 1,2 and 3; and 100 minutes for terminal 4. They leave every 30 minutes during the day and less frequently overnight. For terminal 1, 2 and 3, the coaches pick up from Stand 14A in the Central Bus Station. For terminal 4, the coaches pick up from Stand 15 just outside the terminal.
The Airline also has a service to and from Gatwick which takes 2 hours and leaves hourly during the day and less frequently overnight. From South terminal, the coaches pick up from the upper forecourt where there is no specific stand. From North terminal, the coaches pick up from Stand 4 outside arrivals.
Using the Park & Ride
There are 5 different Park & Ride car parks around Oxford. The most convenient are the Pear Tree (if you are coming from the north) and Thornhill (if you are coming from London/M40). The car parks are signed for ‘Park & Ride’ as you approach them. Park & Ride buses from Pear Tree stop at the junction of George Street and Broad Street. Those from Thornhill pass through the High Street into the town centre. For more information see the Park & Ride website for Oxford.
