Proforest is at the forefront of training on sustainability standards in forestry and agricultural commodities, including voluntary certification schemes and supply chain controls, best practice in standard setting and effective stakeholder engagement. Using training courses, workshops, handbooks and technical guides, we prepare people to implement standards, push forward sustainability initiatives, and develop new policy instruments.
Awareness of sustainability issues is growing worldwide. People working in all forms of natural resource management need to understand what these mean and how to implement them. To meet this need, Proforest is working with partners around the world to develop a network of training organisations and support centres providing locally adapted, high quality training.
