Development and delivery of Bonsucro auditor training courses
Proforest helped Bonsucro in the development of a lead auditor training course and an auditor training course, both including practical field components, group excercises and exams. The courses were delivered in Brazil, Colombia and India.For Bonsucro | 2011
These 5-day courses trained auditors who will be assessing sugarcane plantations and mills against the Bonsucro standards. The lead auditor course and the auditor course were initially developed in Portuguese and delivered in Brazil, after which the course materials for the auditor course were translated into Spanish and English and also given in Colombia and India.
The courses included a one-day field component in a sugar mill whereby the participants were led through a simulated audit. Around 50 people were trained during the 3 auditor courses and over 20 during the lead auditor course, giving Bonsucro a solid start in three key countries for sugarcane production.
In October 2011, Proforest also helped Bonsucro develop and deliver a 3-day sugarcane producer course in Bolivia sponsored by Solidaridad.
