Ahmad Ardiansyah (Ian)
Project Manager
Ian has two years of coordinating wildlife conservation projects in Java and Kalimantan involving government, universities, NGOs and local communities with a special interest for primates, mammals and birds. He also has experience of co-authoring peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals, focusing on conservation biology and human-wildlife interface.
He holds master’s degree in Forest and Nature Conservation from Wageningen University, The Netherlands with policy specialisation. His thesis focuses on the perception of how international biodiversity policy works among governmental actors in the context of Convention on Biological Diversity. During his master, he also has involved in environmental consultancy project with UN agencies and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency.
He is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and he speaks Bahasa Indonesia, English, basic Dutch and Spanish.
