Lucía Pérez Olavarría

Lucía is originally from Spain and holds an MSc in Sustainability sciences, Policy and Society from Maastricht University. During the program, she got particularly interested in the field of innovation and wrote her master thesis about the potential of music festivals to foster sustainability transition when acting as validation grounds for sustainable and future city innovations.

Before joining Proforest, Lucía worked on ESG reporting in the sustainability department of Signify (former Philips Lighting N.V.). Later she worked as an Innovation Analyst at Impact Hub Amsterdam, where she supported different companies & SME's to become more sustainable through innovation and unconventional business models. Here, she learned to identify key sustainability challenges within corporations, scout the latest impact-driven startups in areas such as food and circularity that could offer viable solutions to these corporations, assess their potential for scaling up, and connect them with the right growth opportunities.
