Ryan Chua

Ryan has a PhD in Psychology from Monash University Malaysia. He has 9 years’ experience working in the field of human rights especially in the promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion in Malaysia.

Prior to joining Proforest, Ryan served as the Programme Director for Pusat KOMAS, a Malaysian human rights civil society organisation (CSO). In this role, he was responsible for project management, policy development, training, and awareness raising. Additionally, Ryan has considerable experience in facilitating stakeholder engagement, having collaborated closely with diplomatic missions, governmental agencies, non-governmental organisations, as well as indigenous and local communities in Peninsula Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.
