Senior Project Manager
Mirjam is an interdisciplinary conservation scientist. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Oxford. For her thesis research she conducted fieldwork in Papua New Guinea, where she worked together with smallholder farmers to understand how they can improve their yields in a sustainable way. She took an interdisciplinary research approach which ranged from measuring ecosystem systems services and tracking soil quality in farmers' fields to analysing farmers' social networks and conducting a participatory photo project.
As a Senior Project Manager at ProForest, Mirjam is mainly involved in data-related work. She coordinates ProForest's data team and aims to improve data management, analysis and visualisation across the organisation.
Mirjam speaks English, Dutch and Tok Pisin.
