Landscale

Since 2017 Proforest has been supporting a the development of the LandScale framework, which seeks to provide a standardised approach for assessing and communicating the sustainability performance of landscapes. Proforest contributed to conceptualisation of the framework and sat on the Demand Working Group which developed LandScale’s value proposition and target audiences. Proforest then conducted semi-formal interviews with agribusiness leaders to seek feedback on this value proposition. Subsequently Proforest supported the development of a verification mechanism and claims guide for the LandScale framework, and an overall framework, to assess and address human rights related risks and issues within landscape initiatives, in collaboration with and linked to the IDH VSA Compact model.
