Launch of 'A Blueprint for Resilient Landscape Initiatives'

Proforest is delighted to share our latest Briefing Note, ‘A Blueprint for Resilient Landscapes’, an introduction to our process for supporting landscape initiatives to formalise their structure and sustain their impact over the long term.  

In many landscape initiatives we see many individual projects within landscapes, allowing for early results at a small scale which sometimes struggle to secure continued funding sources.  

The Landscape Blueprint aims to improve alignment and coordination between these many projects - enabling prioritisation, reducing duplication and allowing for true monitoring of impact at scale. This process aligns with the ISEAL Core Criteria for Mature Landscape Initiative as well as the SourceUp and Landscale platforms, and facilitates landscape initiatives to bridge the common investment gap, become sustainable, and access long term, commercial financing. 

Proforest is now seeking to work with donors and their landscape implementers in Brazil, Ghana and Indonesia to roll out the capacity building resources needed to support implementation of the Landscape Blueprint. Implementers of 14 landscape initiatives have already expressed interest in regional capacity building and exchange of experience through such training but with more support we can reach more practitioners and develop a full series of workshops.
