Michela Francesconi
Project Manager
Michela is originally from Italy but moved to Denmark for a BSc in Social Sciences at Roskilde University which focused on problem oriented research and allowed her to develop methodological and analytical research skills. She then continued her education with a MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Copenhagen where her social science background was applied to environmental issues by bridging the gap between people and nature. For her master’s thesis she conducted fieldwork in the Maya Forest Corridor of Central Belize in order to investigate the relation between local communities and biodiversity conservation in the area. Most recently, Michela completed an internship at Global Green Growth Institute in South Korea where she joined the Partnership Unit focusing on research mobilisation, portfolio analysis, and engagement strategies for new donors and partners.
