Samuel Scott
Assistant Project Manager
Samuel holds an MSc in Environment, Development and Politics from The University of Birmingham and a BA in Geography from Lancaster University. His Master’s thesis explored the contribution of agroforestry to the SDGs through a case study of a local NGO in the Peruvian Amazon. This research was conducted whilst volunteering, utilising various methods including field inventory surveys, interviews and participant observation, in order to uncover areas of best practise and solutions for mitigating trade-offs. During this research he was able to experience some pilot projects for emerging Non-timber forest products such as stingless bee honey and utilise some new smartphone applications for ensuring traceability of forest products.
Samuel also has voluntary experience ranging from student-led local food production to projects for organisations including the United Nations, the RSPB and Islamic Relief.
