Sandra Hernandez

Sandra is an Agronomist Engineer from the Technological Institute of Huejutla and holds a Master's degree in Plant Health in the field of Entomology and Acarology from the College of Postgraduates. She has experience in the organisation and integration of farmers' working groups for agricultural production, innovation of productive agricultural techniques, elaboration of biofertilisers, pest management with plant extracts and ethological control.

In the area of Plant Health and Safety, she supervised the use of integrated pest management tactics, cross-contamination and best agricultural practices. As a field assistant, she trained farmers in the responsible use of agrochemicals, the use of biological controls, adequate crop monitoring, and the conservation of beneficial flora and fauna. Sandra also shared knowledge to foster critical thinking in Agri-Food Process Engineering students.

In her free time she likes to read, enjoy nature with her children, go for walks, take care of her pets and collect insects.
