Ximena Sanchez

Ximena is an Environmental and Sanitary Engineer, from Universidad de La Salle (Bogotá, Colombia), with a diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment from Universidad Nacional (Colombia). She has more than three years of experience in climate change adaptation and mitigation projects in the agricultural sector, carbon sequestration in páramo soils, management and implementation of sustainable agricultural practices and work with communities. Ximena has collaborated with various entities both in the public and private sector and academia (Colciencias, Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnología de Colombia, Universidad de La Salle, FAO, OEI). And has knowledge in environmental management, waste management, circular economy, carbon footprint and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In her free time she enjoys traveling and getting to know new places, she loves the beach and the sea. She also enjoys swimming, going out to eat, dancing, going to the cinema, reading and learning new things.
