At Proforest we’re passionate about helping people produce and source agricultural and forest commodities responsibly. That’s why we support companies throughout supply chains to have positive social and environmental outcomes in the places where commodities are produced.

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK) and Proforest jointly organised a series of Supplier Engagement Workshops earlier this month, aimed at familiarising KLK's direct suppliers in Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia with the upcoming European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements and other sustainability approaches.

The workshops, that took place in Tawau, Sabah and in Janda Baik, Pahang, saw a combined participation of over 80 participants who were actively engaged in discussions while expressing interest on topics such as traceability data and EUDR implications.

The team from Proforest presented on topics such as updates on EUDR, grievance management, Risk-Calibrated Approach to Traceability to Plantation, Deforestation and Conversion Free Volumes, and the No Deforestation, No Peat and No Exploitation Implementation Reporting Framework templates during both sessions.
