Ghana Insights: A photo story on capacity building in a Hotspot Intervention Area

In Ghana, Proforest has been collaborating with the Forestry Commission (FC), the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) and other key stakeholders, in developing the Asunafo-Asutifi Hotspot Intervention Area (HIA) into a functional landscape programme. This is part of our wider Production Landscapes Programme, funded by the German government's International Climate Initiative (IKI).

Capacity building and training is a key part of the process of alignment – enabling the different stakeholders to understand the issues and learn how they can each play a part in collaborative efforts within a landscape.

Working with the National REDD+ Secretariat of the FC, Tropenbos International, WCF, Nature & Development Foundation and COCOBOD, Proforest has been delivering training through workshops to enhance the capacity of the relevant landscape actors for effective implementation of the landscape programme.
