With over ten years of experience in research, education, and promoting gender and human rights, Fabiana is a passionate advocate for social inclusion and equality. At Proforest, she develops and promotes transformative projects that address human rights and gender-based disparities in the private sector, with a particular focus on people (smallholders and livelihoods, HRDD systems, IP and LC/land rights, and gender). This includes developing tools to assess the impacts of land on local communities, building capacity as well as implementing stronger HRDD systems along and beyond the supply chain. Fabiana holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Gender Studies), an MA in Political Science (International Relations), and postgraduate qualifications in Data Analysis and Indigenous Free, Prior, and Informed Consent. She is committed to evidence-based and participatory approaches that create meaningful change. Fabiana is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
