Filipe Di Matteo

Filipe holds an MSc degree in Sustainable Development and a PhD in International Development Studies from Utrecht University. He has over 10 years of experience working at the intersection of smallholder farming, sustainability, and inclusion.

Based in the Netherlands office, Filipe is part of the Beyond Supply Chains team and the People thematic group. As Rural Livelihoods Advisor, Filipe helps strengthen Proforest's work on smallholders and sustainable livelihoods.

Before joining Proforest, Filipe was a Senior Program Officer at the AMEA Network, where he gained experience in knowledge generation, management and sharing, project management, and facilitation skills. Filipe speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
