Hélio Silva

Hélio holds a PhD and Master’s in Geography (Rio de Janeiro Federal University and Fluminense Federal University) and an MBAs in Public Management and Project Management. He has extensive experience in territorial and environmental planning, sustainable development, environmental justice, land and socio-environmental conflicts, and geographic information systems. Before joining Proforest, he was a professor, researcher, and project coordinator in the third sector.

At Proforest, Helio manages projects focused on responsible sourcing and production, addressing deforestation and conversion, human rights, risk analysis, landscape initiatives, and socio-environmental policies.
