Lorena Massimino

Lorena has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in International Relations from Royal Holloway, University of London. Her MSc thesis evaluated terrestrial protected areas in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire using a Geographic Information System (GIS) and remote sensing-based approach. It focused on the development threat of agricultural expansion in protected areas.
Lorena has experience working on a range of sustainability issues during internships at the Global Reporting Initiative in Amsterdam and the Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems Secretariat at the World Meteorological Organisation in Geneva. She also has experience working in Accra, Ghana, for UNICEF and the African Development Bank.
