Diana has over nine years of professional experience in the implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a decision-making tool in multisectoral projects for public and private entities and with civil society organisations in Colombia. In the public sector, she participated in the regional planning of the Department of Bolívar. In the private sector she worked for the oil and gas industry evaluating compliance with environmental regulations and feasibility of environmental conditions. She also supported humanitarian efforts with cartographic products to visualise the needs of populations affected by armed conflict and natural disasters.
Diana holds a degree from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Colombia, a master's degree in Environmental and Agricultural Management from the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and a specialisation in Geomatics from the Nueva Granada Military University, Colombia. She is bilingual (Spanish and English), and likes hiking, dancing and cats.
