Joseph Isaiah Mensah possesses over 9 years' experience in programme and project management and financial inclusion. He has served as the lead in the design and execution of multi-sectoral rural development programmes and projects funded by aid agencies, notably USAID and JICA, focusing on natural resource management and the development of agriculture commodity value chains. His experience in the private sector has to do with enabling the vulnerable to develop climate resilient livelihoods by facilitating their access to financial and productive assets.
Joseph has coordinated various multi-stakeholder engagements and provided technical advice in the formulation and implementation of regional and national policies which seek to establish sustainable regulatory frameworks and production standards of agriculture commodities including horticulture, cocoa and cereals. Joseph holds BA and MPhil degrees in Economics and Agricultural Economics respectively from the University of Ghana.
