Victor Garcia joins the team as a Senior Project Manager (with a focus on sugar). He holds degrees in both Sociology and Social Work (from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and La Escuela Nacional de Trabajo Social). Currently pursuing his Master's in Environmental Law and Public Policies at the Universidad del Medio Ambiente, he brings over 20 years of leadership experience supporting community and rural development.

He has held positions in various Mexican entities such as the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples, as well as international organizations like Childfund International, Heifer International, and United Way – Mexico (where he served as Director of Innovation since 2021).

Joining Proforest, Victor brings expertise in multiple agricultural chains, including livestock, coffee, honey, poultry, and agave. He has led the formulation, planning, implementation, and monitoring of development projects and programs for ethical value chains, ecological well-being, social economics, women's economic empowerment, strengthening agribusinesses, and promoting sustainable food systems.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, usually on weekend family trips outside the capital. He enjoys contact sports and occasional jogging, and was a former American football player in college. He has a keen interest in reading development and political fiction. He also plays guitar and was part of a metal band years ago.
