Janaína Quixabeira Gonçalves
Assistant Project Manager
Janaína holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Brasilia, Brazil, and a master’s degree in Ecology from the National Institute of Amazonian Research, on the impact of recent climate change in central Amazon floodplains. Her work experience includes areas such as technological innovation, agricultural health, food safety, territorial and natural resource management and rural wellbeing.
She lived in Australia for seven years, working as an environmental consultant for a project aiming to test the effectiveness of biopesticides as an alternative to chemical pesticides to generate sustainable agricultural products. She has also volunteered for multidisciplinary social projects to raise awareness among university students about social issues in Brazil.
Janaína is based in Brasilia and is passionate about cooking, gardening, reading and Brazilian music. She loves swimming, hiking and playing volleyball.
