Implementing responsible sourcing – using landscape or jurisdictional initiatives

Landscape or jurisdictional initiatives take a number of different forms, including territorial approaches, green municipalities, and produce–conserve–include compacts.

This briefing discusses how these initiatives can support companies’ delivery of responsible sourcing commitments. Landscape or jurisdictional initiatives can contribute by:

• facilitating the implementation of responsible production practices at scale 
• making certification more achievable and 
• generating positive impacts from sourcing.
