Geospatial risk assessment and 'no deforestation' commitments

Companies worldwide are seeking to eliminate deforestation from their forestry and agricultural commodity supply chains. However, due to the complicated nature of these supply chains, companies need tools to help them identify areas of risk. Geospatial risk assessment is one of these tools.

This briefing note explores the opportunities and limitations of geospatial risk assessment as a tool to help companies achieve their ‘no deforestation’ commitments. It also looks at potential applications to other environmental and social issues.
