Proforest Initiative Africa 2024 Annual Report

This annual report highlights our progress and commitment to promoting the responsible sourcing and production of agricultural commodities in Africa. We are happy to share our contribution towards delivering positive social and environmental outcomes.  We have made significant strides in managing multi-stakeholder platforms through the Africa Palm Oil Initiative (APOI) now Africa Sustainable Commodities Initiative; harnessing technology to improve human rights in the cocoa and oil palm sectors in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire and empowering communities to develop land use plans for their lands.

As we reflect on the past year, we are reminded of the critical role that sustainable practices play in addressing systemic issues within a landscape to drive long-lasting positive change. Proforest remains committed to driving positive change in the agricultural commodities sector, working tirelessly to promote environmentally conscious practices, social responsibility and community ownership.
