The concept of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) is an important element in ensuring a sustainable and responsibly sourced supply chain.

FPIC is important for communities, companies, governments and civil society organizations.

There are two parts to this course. In the first part, you will gain an introduction to the concept of FPIC. This will include four modules on what FPIC is, who it applies to, when it should be obtained, why it is important and required. The second part will cover the Key steps within the FPIC process, and will cover Scoping, Preparations & Assessments, Negotiations & Agreement, Implementation & Monitoring.
