About Proforest

Proforest is a not-for-profit group with a global presence that works at all levels of supply chains to build resilient agricultural and forestry supply chains and thriving production landscapes that deliver positive outcomes for people, nature and climate, by working as a trusted technical partner. Proforest has 25-year track record of work with companies, governments, landscapes and civil society, bridging global ambition with local realities, translating sustainability commitments into solutions that are grounded, effective and scalable for agricultural and forest commodities.

While commodities include cattle, soy, sugar, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber and others, the issues we help tackle include deforestation and ecosystem conversion, developing regenerative agriculture, supporting improved livelihoods and respect for human rights and working in landscape level initiatives. These interventions have a strong potential and demand for financial mechanisms.

We have a global team of more than 200 highly skilled people from more than 20 countries, working from offices in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the UK, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Indonesia, Ghana, Cameroon and China. In Brazil we are expanding and currently have around 25 people.
