Position summary

Proforest is looking for a creative and proactive Communications Intern to support our visual content creation, event coordination, and internal communications. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in branding, media production, and corporate communications in a dynamic and diverse working environment. The position is in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur or Tebet, Jakarta and reports to the Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:

This key responsibilities for this position are to support:

Visual Content Creation

• Design and edit digital assets (e.g. posters, infographics, and videos) for internal and external communications.

• Develop merchandise designs (e.g. t-shirts, event materials, etc.).

• Ensure all visuals align with corporate branding guidelines.

 Photography & Videography:

• Capture high-quality photos and videos of internal and external events and activities.

• Edit photos and videos for internal and external communications and social media platforms.

Event & Communication Support:

• Support internal and external events, including quarterly meetings, exhibitions and employee engagement activities.

• Support with logistics, setup, and promotional materials.

• Contribute creative ideas to enhance communication campaigns and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:

  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Indonesia
  • Open for Fresh graduate or those currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Canva (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro or CapCut are a plus!)
  • Excel academically with minimum CGPA 3.00 or second class upper or equivalent
  • Minimum duration would be 12 weeks or above
  • Compulsory internship placements by university

Desirable:

  • Passionate about visual storytelling and corporate communications.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Able to accommodate occasional Global online meetings (maximum three times a month, UK time (AM)/ MY time (PM)
  • Good communication skills and creative mindset.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
