Principal Project Manager
Esteban is an expert on strengthening the value chains of agricultural, livestock and forest commodities. His experience includes responsible supply chain project management, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, training and technical assistance, implementing sustainable systems, verification and monitoring, and financial consultancy.
Esteban has implemented and helped develop a range of large-scale projects in Mexico including: reducing GHG emissions and carbon capture; sustainable production of palm oil, sugar cane and coffee; strengthening value chains for other agricultural products, implementing animal welfare systems; and sustainable production of forest species. He has also worked with standards such as: Rainforest Alliance, RSPO, FSC, Global GAP, Bonsucro, Organic and other national standards.
As project manager in Mexico his role is to build institutional relations with key actors and stakeholders in responsible sourcing of agricultural commodities, generating new projects and supporting Proforest initiatives globally.
