Jen Shepherd

Senior Project Manger

Jen has a strong background in supporting responsible sourcing in several supply chains: including sugarcane, cocoa, flowers, minerals, horticulture and tea, via private sector, with certification schemes and in the UN system.  Countries which have been a focus of her work include Belize, Colombia, Cote D’Ivoire, Ethiopia,India, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.  She has her roots in the floriculture industry; having spent several years in the wholesale flower trade sourcing and trading certified flowers for UK high street retailers and events companies.

Jen worked for several years as a senior supply chain and programme manager at the Fairtrade Foundation and most recently at Unicef UK as their Head of Children’s Rights and Business Unit supporting companies in fashion retail, grocery and food and beverage industry to understand and implement human rights due diligence, and to tackle negative impacts and drivers of issues such as labour migration.

When not working Jen enjoys socialising, travelling (when permitted), painting with acrylic, getting into anything creative or sporty, Feldenkrais and being with family and friends. Jen is really looking forward to getting to know you all, hopefully in person sometime soon and being a part of the proforest team.
