Miguel is an Industrial Engineer with a master’s degree in Rural Development; both degrees from the Javeriana University in Colombia. Additionally, he has been a scholarship holder for the Postgraduate Course in Integrated Rural-Regional Development at the Weitz Center for Development in Israel, as well as the Swedish Agency for International Development Cooperation. He has more than 25 years of work experience, both in the public and private sectors, NGOs, as well as multilateral entities such as Banco de Bogotá, the Colombian Institute for Rural Development, the World Bank and the Sustainable Trade Initiative - IDH of the Netherlands. Additionally, he has carried out consultancies for the National Planning Department of Colombia, the World Resources Institute and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture - IICA.
