Roger Gómez

Roger Gomez Nieto is an Electronics Engineer from the Universidad del Quindio (2014), holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technological University of Pereira (2016), and a Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Sciences from the Pontificia Javeriana University (2022) in Colombia. He is certified in Project Management (CAPM) by the Project Management Institute. With over five years of experience, he specialises in designing and implementing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models across various industries, including healthcare, electronic surveillance, retail, agriculture, and construction. His expertise encompasses both academic and industry settings. He has been classified as a Junior Researcher by MinCiencias Colombia and has published six (6) peer-reviewed articles in Machine Learning. Before joining Proforest, he served as a Full-Time Professor in the Machine Learning area at Icesi University. Currently, he is a member of the Data Innovation Team at Proforest in Cali (Colombia), where he works on various projects related to the acquisition and AI-driven processing of customer data.
