UKAid/FCDO Partnerships for Forests (P4F)

P4F supports the private sector in partnerships with the public sector and people – the communities that depend on forests – that can deliver on deforestation-free commitments and improve livelihoods.

P4F supports Proforest’s work to facilitate the TFA’s Africa Palm Oil Initiative (APOI), a multi-stakeholder initiative that brings together governments from ten Central and West African countries with the private sector, traditional leaders, local communities and indigenous peoples. ​APOI has a vision for a prosperous palm oil industry that brings jobs and wealth to local communities in a way that is environmentally and socially sustainable and protects the rich tropical forests of the region.
