Proforest enters Latin America’s first regenerative agriculture consortium

Proforest is thrilled to announce that the organisation has officially joined Reg.IA, Latin America's first regenerative agriculture consortium. This partnership marks a crucial step in strengthening the adoption of regenerative practices across the Brazilian agriculture sector as a powerful response to the climate emergency and growing global market demands for sustainable sourcing. Proforest is excited to combine its technical expertise with the consortium's collaborative framework to drive impactful and scalable change.

Reg.IA currently brings together a powerful collective of leaders committed to this agenda, including Agrivalle, Bayer, BrasilSeg, BRF, GAPES, InPlanet, Milhão Ingredients, and Produzindo Certo. This multi-stakeholder cooperation connects companies, producers, and specialists around a viable, common protocol of regenerative practices. This inclusive structure is designed not only to build consensus but also to provide the necessary financial incentives and mechanisms for measuring on-the-ground results, ensuring profitability goes hand-in-hand with conservation and social development.

Jane Lino, Deputy Director at Proforest, commented on the new partnership:

It is with great enthusiasm that we join Reg.IA. We aim to add value, support, bring new voices, and contribute to this space as a crucial point for dialogue, collective construction, and results verification. We see in Reg.IA an opportunity to advance the practice of regenerative agriculture with a simple and powerful proposal, as it brings together a viable protocol of practices, financial incentives for adoption, and clear results measurement.

Our partnership with Reg.IA reinforces our mission to build resilient supply chains and prosperous production landscapes, driving positive outcomes for people, nature, and climate across the region.
