Andrés Escobar

Andrés is a Topographic Engineer from the Universidad del Valle, currently undertaking a specialisation in Geomatics at the same institution. He has 2 years of experience in geospatial analysis, GIS process automation, and machine learning applied to spatial data, including applied research in automated cadastral recognition using computer vision and deep learning.

Through his work in the organisation, he supports due diligence and supply chain traceability processes under frameworks such as the EUDR and NDPE/IRF policies. His work includes validation and quality control of geospatial data, exploratory analysis for decision-making, and technical support to suppliers. He also contributes to the development of visualisation tools, automated deforestation analysis (DFA) workflows, and the production of technical reports aimed at enabling producers and companies to meet sustainability standards more efficiently and transparently.
