Senior Project Manager

Eduardo Albuquerque is a Senior Project Manager and Biodiversity focal point at Proforest, with a multidisciplinary background in environmental engineering, forest science, and ecosystem management. He has collaborated with TRASE, the Stockholm Environment Institute and the University of Padova on analysing deforestation impacts in beef supply chains in Pernambuco, Brazil. Eduardo holds degrees in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (UFRPE), Forest Science (University of Padova), and Forest Ecosystem, Nature and Society (University of Copenhagen).

Currently, he supports companies and stakeholders across Latin America in meeting deforestation and conversion free (DCF) requirements for soy and beef supply chains. His work also advances Human Rights Due Diligence aligned with emerging international regulations, while integrating nature‑related priorities - including biodiversity and water - and highlighting their links to climate and human rights.
