Isabella Freire

Isabella has over 20 years of experience in sustainability in the agribusiness sector, negotiation and establishment of cross-sector partnerships, strategic planning, responsible sourcing of agricultural commodities, policy development and analysis, project design and management, standard development and process facilitation. She joined Proforest in 2011 and established the organisation’s regional office in Brazil. Before joining Proforest, she worked at WWF-UK and Conservation International. She holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge and a BA in International Relations from the University of Brasilia. She speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and Hungarian.

Isabella is a member of the Advisory Group of Trase, a member of the Executive Group (GX) of the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture, and co-leads the Coalition’s Transparency and Traceability Task Force.
