Principal Project Manager
Luana Bozon Mischiatti is a Principal Project Manager at Proforest, where she leads projects and programmes to advance responsible production and sourcing across agricultural supply chains, with a strong focus on human rights. Her expertise includes developing social and environmental projects, analysing public policies, and facilitating multi‑stakeholder engagement. She brings strong technical depth in implementing Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) approaches aligned with the UN Guiding Principles, particularly in sectors such as soy and sugarcane.
She holds a BSc in Environmental Management from the University of São Paulo and an MA in Environment, Politics and Globalization from King’s College London.
Luana currently leads efforts to strengthen human rights practices across agricultural commodity supply chains, spanning labour rights, Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities’ rights, gender, and other priority themes. She develops practical HRDD guidance and drives collaborative, multi‑stakeholder initiatives to address salient risks and support systemic solutions. This includes co‑developing HRDD tools for the sugarcane sector through partnerships with Imaflora and the Bonsucro Impact Fund, supporting companies like Nestlé in applying responsible sourcing frameworks, and working with organizations such as Landesa and Instituto Governança de Terras to advance respect for IP&LC rights.
Her work reflects Proforest’s mission‑driven approach, combining strong technical credibility with deep local knowledge and collaborative action to deliver meaningful, on‑the‑ground impact.
