Taísa Tavares Baldassa

Taísa has over ten years of experience in the socio-environmental field, with a focus on territorial management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and a master’s degree in Political Geography, both from the University of São Paulo. 

Working at Proforest since 2022, Taísa is experienced in areas such as policy and regulation, sectoral collaboration initiatives, and beef and soy supply chains, leading the delivery of projects and programmes. She is one of the facilitators of the Cerrado Protocol, a sectoral collaboration initiative that supports the responsible sourcing of beef. Prior to joining Proforest, Taísa provided services to consultancy companies and research organisations in Brazil like the Ecological Research Institute (IPÊ).

  Based in Brazil, Taísa is fluent in Portuguese and English.
