Ecosperity Week 2026

Dr Ruth Nussbaum, Executive Director, Proforest and Board Member of GenZero, attended Ecosperity Week 2026 in Singapore, a regional convening focused on Asia’s transition towards sustainable and low-carbon growth.

Under the theme “Asia's Race Towards 2030: Powered by Innovation, Driven with Intent”, the event brought together leaders from government, business, finance and civil society to explore how innovation, investment and collaboration can support the region’s 2030 sustainability ambitions.

Ruth also joined a closed-door roundtable convened by SSFA, the World Economic Forum and HSBC Singapore, focused on moving from diagnosis to action on nature. The session brought together banks, investors, insurers, corporates, NGOs and policymakers to explore how finance and cross-sector collaboration can support practical progress.

Discussions during Ecosperity Week focused on scalable opportunities in areas including AI, sustainable data centres, electrification, adaptation, and resilience. With Asia facing rising energy demand, rapid urbanisation and major infrastructure needs, the event highlighted the importance of aligning capital, technology, policy and talent to accelerate system-level solutions.
