Webinar: Preparing for the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) — and beyond

This webinar will explore how sustainable production approaches can contribute to more aligned and effective implementation of the EUDR, with a particular focus on:

• Smallholders
• Private sector engagement
• Jurisdictional approaches

The event is organised in collaboration with the Governors’ Climate & Forests Task Force (GCF Task Force) and partners. The GCF Task Force is a coalition of subnational governments, bringing together states and provinces from tropical countries committed to reducing deforestation.

The session will bring together perspectives from Latin America and Southeast Asia, sharing practical insights and experiences on how these approaches can support regulatory implementation on the ground.

As part of the discussion, Proforest, represented by Daniel Arancibia, Latin America director, will contribute a global perspective on the connection between commodity production and jurisdictional approaches, drawing on lessons learned and examples from different regions.
