Can Brazil Deliver Traceable Commodities?

Isabella Freire will be speaking for the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture in this event, which is open to the public and will bring multiple stakeholders to discuss advances, challenges and opportunities in implementing socio-environmental traceability in Brazilian agricultural chains, coordinating public policies, technological innovation and market commitments capable of driving a new land use economy in the country.
The panel will feature representatives from: the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), the Government of Pará, the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (ABIEC), the University of Bath (UK), Amigos da Terra, the Brazil-Germany Agri-Political Dialogue (APD) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC).

Bridging Global Targets and Local Action in the Private Sector: Building Capacity and Shaping Climate Standards

In this panel discussion, we will explore what is needed for global target-setting frameworks to be effectively applied in Latin America: the frameworks must be more tailored to local realities, and local actors must build the capacity to implement them. This event is a collaboration between Proforest, Transforma, Amaggi and Rabobank, and with the participation of the Science Based Targets initiative. Paulien Denis and Isabella Freire will be speakers.

De-risking Investment Responsibly: Resilient Agriculture and Food Supply Chains for a Just Transition 

Sustainable, equitable agri-food systems that are climate resilient require an integrated People-Climate-Nature approach, supported by de-risking mechanisms and blended finance. Hosted by Proforest and the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), this session will bridge perspectives from corporate sustainability, local adaptation and finance innovation. Paulien Denis and Jane Lino will be speakers.

Connecting the Rio Conventions through Landscape Action: Governance and Finance in Practice

Integrated governance and landscape finance are powerful levers for territorial transformation, enabling more effective ecosystem restoration and management, enhanced climate resilience, greater food and water security, secure livelihoods for people and climate-positive economic and social development. Proforest joins Commonland, EcoAgriculture Partners, Rainforest Alliance and SNV to showcase cases where collaborative approaches and practical tools have promoted policy coherence, while addressing the interconnected challenges of land use, livelihoods, and natural resource systems. Jane Lino will be a speaker.
