Arifah Hidayati

Arifah holds a Master of Forest (Advanced) from the Australian National University, specialising in forest policy and management, and a Bachelor of Forestry Science (Silviculture) from Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Prior to joining Proforest, she worked in corporate sustainability at one of Indonesia's leading forestry manufacturers, supporting forest management and chain of custody certification, carbon emissions assessment, and sustainability reporting. She also worked on voluntary carbon project development at South Pole and a bilateral peatland ecosystem restoration programme implemented jointly by Indonesia's Ministry of Forestry and the Korea Forest Service.

Her expertise and interest span sustainable forestry, landscape restoration, certification and supply chain sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and integrating nature-based solutions into practical conservation and development outcomes.
