In China, we have been driving responsible sourcing practices via tailored tool development and capacity-building activities. For example, we partnered with CCCMC on the development of the Guidance for Sustainable Natural Rubber (SNRG), and with CFNA on a palm oil toolkit, with support from our Southeast Asia and Europe teams. We have also supported companies in implementing relevant standards and continuously improve their practices for responsible sourcing and production. Proforest is now looking to consolidate and strengthen its local presence and activities in China through open, wide-ranging collaboration with Chinese partners and stakeholders, to jointly support China’s green trade policy and responsible procurement practices in China.
