Senior Project Manager
Larissa Monteiro is a Senior Project Manager at Proforest, working on sustainable agricultural supply chains, with a focus on human rights, as well as the beef and soy sectors. Her work involves supporting companies in the implementation and advancement of socio-environmental commitments, addressing topics such as deforestation, traceability, and human rights. She also contributes to multi-stakeholder collaboration platforms and landscape and jurisdictional initiatives, helping to design integrated solutions that reconcile agricultural production with environmental conservation and social inclusion. She has experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, with a strong focus on promoting the rights of Indigenous Peoples and Local and Traditional Communities, as well as on the development of social safeguards.
Prior to joining Proforest in 2023, Larissa worked on the implementation of environmental commitments across both the public and private sectors, including environmental licensing, environmental management, and waste management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University and a master’s degree in Agribusiness from the University of Brasília. Her research focused on sharing economy models and their influence on productivity in smallholder production, exploring pathways to enhance both efficiency and sustainability in agricultural production.
