Marie Lavialle-Piot
Director – Responsible Sourcing
Marie leads Proforest Europe’s Responsible Sourcing Team, providing technical support to companies implementing their responsible sourcing commitments across a range of agricultural commodities. She brings 20 years of experience in developing and managing responsible supply chains for the private sector.
She has deep expertise in tropical commodities—including cocoa, palm, and coconut—and previously served as Global Sustainability Lead for tropical oils at Cargill. In that role, she oversaw the development and execution of the global sustainability strategy for tropical oils, managed key corporate accounts, built cross-sector partnerships, and supported the implementation of sustainability programmes in Asia and Latin America.
Marie holds a master’s degree in agriculture and in the trading of food commodities. She is based in France and speaks French, English, and Dutch.
