Ade Kurniawan

Ade Kurniawan is a senior sustainability and development professional based in Indonesia. He holds a master's degree in economics from Gadjah Mada University and has more than twenty years of experience supporting sustainable commodity chains, particularly coffee and cocoa.

Prior to joining Proforest, Ade worked for Rikolto as the Cocoa & Coffee Programme Director for Southeast Asia. He has also held roles with Conservation International (CI) and Save the Children.

He has collaborated with private sector companies, government institutions, and civil society organisations to design and implement multi‑year programmes that improve smallholder livelihoods, strengthen responsible sourcing, and meet sustainability and due diligence requirements.

Ade specialises in landscape‑based approaches and multi‑stakeholder facilitation to align production, conservation, and inclusive development objectives.
